Doing a little sewing

I'm currently on a mission to start using sewing machine, when making doll clothes. I am used to hand sewing, but I think I can get a nicer finishing with a machine.
Here is the first dress that I made and I am very proud of it, as it even has lining. :)) Yay! I know it's fairly simple, but I just needed to start somewhere. :)

New Doll Cabinet

My old doll closet was in a very shabby condition and after moving to a new workroom I decided to look for a new doll cabinet as well.

Here is my recent purchase.

Let's look inside...

I still need to arrange the interior, but for now my girls will live like this.
The cabinet has all the things that I wanted - it's beautiful, made of oak, nice details, it has a key and an awesome large drawer for the dolly stuff.

Hope you enjoyed my little tour. I'll post more pictures once the inside arrangements are done. ;)

Lan - my delicate orchid

She has changed her look and instead of a fiery redhead I have a sophisticated blonde. 

I also changed her face-up a little, made the colors deeper, added lashes and couple of beauty marks.

And a little bonus (because in Chinese Lan means "orchid").

New Look

Some of my girls recently got a new look.

Niji has a beautiful new wig, which makes her face-up stand out more. She's turned from a tomboy into a flirtatious little lady.

Narae got new beautiful brown eyes and gorgeous long hair.

I think my girls look even better than before. Have any of your dolls got anything new recently? ;)

Another Box Opening

A very special package arrived today... with a very special content.
But let's start from the beginning. There was a big box and a very lazy unpacking animal...

Then there was a smaller box with a mattress in it...

And many beautiful extras from a kind friend...

And a little package wrapped in bubble wrap...

And then there was a beautiful doll...

Oh, so beautiful...

I named her Joy, because she brought it.

Summer

Summer has finally arrived to Finland. Here are some pictures from the past weekend - we opened the swinging-in-a-hammock-on-the-porch season. Yay! Narae was helping me to test it. :))

Juno

New member in the doll family. Please, meet Juno. She's a tiny Inkling by Seed Dolls.

She doesn't have a face-up yet. I need to get in the right mood and work on it. :) It's quite hard to get used to her size, but she's absolutely adorable! SweetNeat made a cute little wig for her and I also have some eyes on the way. I love that she fits in Bratz clothes and Blythe shoes. I also found some minis in my doll chest and they are just the right size.
